In Orbit Intelligence, it is possible to create elaborated search strategies thanks to the Boolean and proximity operators and the possibility to combine search steps. See our dedicated article here.
The ability to capitalize on this work is important, and possibly re-run previous strategies when needed.
Once satisfied with a strategy, you have 2 possibilities to save it :
- Save entire strategy: all lines present in your current search history will be saved, even without links between them. This option is interesting when you have to justify your work and iterations. The button is located at the top left of the interface.
- Save strategy: identify the last line of your strategy, and use the Disk icon button. Orbit Intelligence will retrieve all the entangled lines to reach this point.
A simple interface will appear, and your only action is to name (see number 1 below) the search you are saving, and click on the "Check & Save" button (see number 2).
(Execute button allows you to re-run the search without saving it, if you edit something and would like to check)
Note: this option will be greyed out if you used any of the following to build your query:
- Molecule search
- Semantic search
- Biosequence search
- Grouping
- Citation search on selected documents
Saved searches can be easily retrieved in the "My saved searches" section of the menu for future usage.
In "My saved searches", you can edit or delete a saved search by clicking on the desired action at the end of the line.
